Terms of Service
Last updated: 29 August 2026
These are the user terms that set out how you may access and use our app, our site and our services. We may amend or update them and publish the change on the site or in the app.
1. Introduction
1.1. Welcome to epa. The app and the site are owned and operated by EPA for Technologies, a limited liability company registered in Cairo, Egypt, together with any of its current or future subsidiaries and successors (referred to as "we", "us", "the company" or epa).
1.2. These user terms, together with the Privacy Policy published on the site (together, the "legal documents"), set out the terms on which you may access and use our services. By accessing the services, registering for them, or continuing to use them, you agree to be bound by these terms and by the legal documents with immediate effect.
1.3. epa is a platform for discovering and booking fitness classes at independent studios in Cairo. The class itself is provided by the studio, and your agreement about the class is with them. We provide the app, the booking and the payment.
2. Your account
You can browse epa without an account. You need one to book, to save a studio or to leave a review.
You can sign in with your email, with Apple or with Google. Keep that inbox and those accounts secure, because whoever reaches them can reach your epa account.
You need to be at least 16 to use epa.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Account → Delete account. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what is erased and what has to stay.
3. Booking and paying
- Prices are shown in Egyptian pounds before you pay, and that is the whole price. We do not add a fee on top.
- When you start a booking we hold your spot for a short while. If the payment does not go through, the hold is released and the spot goes back to the studio.
- Your spot is confirmed once the payment succeeds. Some studios confirm bookings themselves. If one of them declines your booking, you get all of your money back.
- Payments are handled by our payment provider. Your card details go to them, not to us.
4. Saved cards
When you pay, you can choose to save your card so that booking again takes one tap. If you do, our payment provider gives us a secure token for that card. We never see or store your card number or security code, and the token cannot be used anywhere except to pay for a booking you make on epa.
You can remove a saved card at any time from Profile → Payment methods. Removing it does not change any booking you have already made.
5. Cancelling, and getting your money back
You can cancel a booking in the app. Whether you get a refund depends on the studio's cancellation window, and the app always shows you exactly what you will get back before you confirm. Refunds go back to the way you paid.
If a studio cancels a class you had confirmed, you get all of your money back, whatever their normal cancellation window says.
If you book a class and do not turn up, that is treated as attended and is not refunded.
6. Reviews
You can review a studio after you have attended one of its classes. Your name and your profile photo appear next to your review, publicly, so anyone can see who wrote it. Write what is true and what is yours to say. We remove reviews that are abusive, that name other people, or that are not about a class you attended.
Reviews are the opinions of the people who wrote them, not ours.
7. Fair use
Do not misuse the platform. That means no fake bookings, no abusive or dishonest reviews, and no trying to reach other people's accounts or the parts of the service that are not meant to be public. We can suspend or close accounts that do these things.
8. Studios and their information
Studio details, schedules and prices come from the studios themselves and can change. We work hard to keep them right but we cannot promise every detail is current at every moment.
9. Where our responsibility ends
Classes are physical activity. Judge your own fitness, tell the instructor about anything they should know, and follow the studio's guidance.
The studio, not epa, is responsible for the class it runs, for the premises, for its instructors and for your safety while you are there. So far as Egyptian law allows, we are not liable for injury or loss that happens at a studio, or for the service a studio provides. Nothing here removes any responsibility that cannot be removed under Egyptian law, including your rights as a consumer.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as epa grows. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Carrying on using epa after that means you accept the new terms.
11. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. If we ever have a dispute we cannot settle between us, the courts of Cairo will decide it.
12. The language of these terms
These terms are published in Arabic and in English. If the two versions differ, the Arabic one governs.
13. Talk to us
